The Grand Palace or Phra Nakhon Palace  It is the residence of the King of the Kingdom of Thailand during the Rattanakosin period.  From the reign of King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great until the reign of King Chulalongkorn.  It is located at Grand Palace Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok.  Even now it is no longer the residence of the King.  But the Grand Palace is still used in various important royal ceremonies every year until now.  It is also the most popular tourist destination in Thailand.  with 8,995,000 visitors in 2006
